On the boot of Italy, we’re situated where the bottom few lace holes would start.

Located near the Cilento coast of Campania in southwestern Italy, The Pinelli Estate nestles amongst vineyards, olive groves and sun-kissed pines. The scent of oranges and lemons mingles with the clean valley air.

Known for its stunning ancient ruins, dramatic coastline and dazzling deep blue sea, this region is famous for the bays of Naples and Salerno and the iconic chic of the Amalfi coast.

The jewel-like attractions of Capri, Sorrento, Pompei, Mount Vesuvius Paestum, Positano and Caserta pepper the coastline.

Naturally, tourism is key to the local economy whilst traditional agriculture and fishing complement the industries around the Neapolitan area.

The rich variety and wealth of culture is a by-product of this much sought and fought-after region. In turn, the Greeks, Etruscans, Samnites, Romans, Byzantines, Lombards, Normans, Spaniards, Austrians and Bourbons have all laid claim to this hidden gem until the Italian unification.

Little wonder then historically, many refer to the lands around The Pinelli Estate as ‘felix ager’ (happy land).

Direct flights are readily available direct to Napoli airport throughout the year and your can arrive at the Pinelli Estate in less than an hour and a half after a pleasant drive past mount Vesuvius and the spectacular southern Italian mountains.

We strongly recommend hiring a car to get the maximum from your vacation and the car hire desks are reached via a free air-conditioned shuttle located 100 metres directly in front of the main exit of the arrivals lobby.

We  provide satnav co-ordinates, from within our smartphone apps, that will easily take you to the front door of Il Rifugio, and as a failsafe full written directions are also provided from your concierge.

In summary its really very easy. From Napoli airport you take the A3 autostrada towards Salerno and Reggio C, this merges on to the A2 to Battipaglia. Here you leave the autostrada and join the SS18 all the way to Ogliastro, Agropoli and paradise.
